课本是教学的主要依据,课本的质量如何,对教学工作的质量有很大的关系。教学改革中,各地区对中学数学教材的体系问题,进行了多次讨论,但意见却不是完全一致的。有些同志主张把算术、代数、几何、三角合而为一,以函数为纲来编写课本,我省五年制中学和小学试用课本便是按上述观点来编写的,也就是按函数分类的体系来编写的。但是这样做法是否允当,还是值得商榷的问题。我想就这个问题发表一些个人的意见。
