2004年6月由中国社会科学出版社出版的《转型社会中的中国妇女》(孟宪范主编)一书,是中国社会科学院妇女研究中心“转型期中国妇女研究”课题的最终成果,是妇女研究的一部力作。这一课题历时三年半,16位学者对女大学生就业、保姆的生存状况、流动女性的安全健康、贫困地区妇女生殖健康、家庭暴力、性骚扰、网络中女性的性别重构空间、女性写作等问题进行了实际调查和探讨,具有重大现实和理论意义。《转型社会中的中国妇女》一书定位于经验研究,从法学、社会学、社会心理学、人类学、劳动经济学、卫生经济学、文学等多学科视角出发,对特定历史时期妇女的生活世界、精神世界进行了描述和性别分析。该书主编孟宪范在“弱嵌入性与女性研究———代前言”中指出,将经济社会学“弱嵌入性”引入女性研究和用“中层理论”指导经验研究的探讨富有新意。该书是以经验研究为基础的跨学科性别研究的一次成功实践。2004年8月6日,中国社会科学院妇女研究中心召开了“回应转型社会推进妇女研究———以《转型社会中的中国妇女》为例”的学术研讨会,北京大学、全国妇联妇女研究所、中国社会科学院等单位的专家学者及该书的部分作者参加了会议。与会代表结合该书的意义、特点和研究方法,探讨了女性/性别研究理论及其在中?
The book “Chinese Women in a Transitional Society” (edited by Meng Xianfan), published by China Social Sciences Press in June 2004, is the final result of a project entitled “Chinese Women in Transition” at the Women’s Studies Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. A masterpiece.
