An experimental method for determining the J-integral of elasto-plastic fracture toughness of ice is proposed. The stress field and displacement field of specimen were measured by photoelastic method and speckle method respectively. The integral of the fracture toughness of the ice is then obtained by integration of the loop J. Through the freshwater ice specimen measured, J integral value of two integral loops relative error is less than 6%
