On October 13,1970,the People’s Republic of China and Canada formally established diplomatic relations between them, Canada became the second Westem industrialized country to establish full diplomatic ties with New China after France,Since then,the friendly relations between the two countries on the whole grew vigorously step by step although there were some ups and downs in the past several years from time to time,Today, when we celebrate the 40th anniversary of our diplomatic relationship, we can feel gratified that after some zigzags our bilateral relations are back on the right track again.
