寿光号称“中国一号菜园子”,中国蔬菜的“硅谷”。从种植大路菜到生产名优稀特蔬菜,从露天种植到无土立体栽培,大棚蔬菜已成为寿光最活跃的经济、科技生长点,到目前寿光全市蔬菜大棚已经发展到28万个,年产蔬菜30亿公斤;全市共发明蔬菜生产新技术24类300多项。引进新技术100多项,引进推广了30多个国家的蔬菜品种380多个,有20多类120多个蔬菜品种获得了“绿色食品”证书。不仅如此,寿光人还开辟了中国第一条“绿色通道”,成为北京最大的蔬菜基地,开辟了通住日、韩的海上“蓝色通道”,1999年又开辟了一条“网上通道”,使寿光菜畅销全国,蜚声海外。然而寿光人没有满足于此,他们仍然在不断的探索,开
