据国际小麦理事会(IWC)统计预测,1993/94年度(7月/6月)世界粮食贸易量约为1.250亿吨,低于以前的市场贸易量。这表明自1990/91年度以来世界粮食贸易量持续下降,目前已降至最低水平。国际小麦理事会预测,1993/94年度世界小麦和杂粮的总产量将比上一粮食年度减少2.7％,为13.8亿吨。世界小麦产量曾在1990/91年度达创纪录的5.924亿吨,而1993/94年度将仅为5.731亿吨。与此同时,世界杂粮产量亦将减少4940万吨。
According to the statistics of the International Wheat Council (IWC), the world grain trade volume in 1993/94 (July/June) is about 125 million tons, which is lower than the previous market trade volume. This shows that since the 1990/91 year, the world’s food trade volume has continued to decline and it has now been reduced to the lowest level. The International Wheat Board predicts that the total output of world wheat and grains in 1993/94 will be reduced by 2.7% from the previous food year to 1.38 billion tons. World wheat production hit a record 592.4 million tons in 1990/91, compared with 573.1 million tons in 1993/94. At the same time, the world cereal production will also be reduced by 49.4 million tons.
