旅大市话剧团是一个由80人组成的事业话剧团,1953年整编以后在党的正确文艺方针指导下,由于全体演职员们的努力,各方面的进步都是比较显著的,他们已锻练成为一支虽然年青但却富于战斗性并且能密切联系群众的文艺队伍.几年来他们从东到西,从南到北,几乎走遍了旅大地区的中、小城市.他们的演出已在旅大地区人民心目中留下了深刻的印象.旅大话剧团工作上一个显著的特点就是他们的演出指标每年都有很大提高,1953年他们演出185场,1954年即演出228场,而55年便增加到300余场.这数字比所有人数相等的话剧团高出一倍甚至二倍,几乎接近最大型的话剧院、团的演出指标.
