In view of boric acid and borate easily with the formation of polyols and α-hydroxy acid characteristics of the previous study has been a series of α-hydroxy acids and glycols with boron and the formation of trace boron in water for the determination of trace boron. However, the determination of boro-mandelic acid complex with malachite green to form ternary complexes for the determination of boron in steel has not been reported. In this paper, the conditions for the formation of ternary complexes of boron with mandelic acid and malachite green and the extraction of benzene were studied.
