Foodborne diseases have broken through the traditional outbreak areas and presented the tendency of multiple homologous outbreaks or “unrelated” excretions, which posed a direct or potential hazard to the health of the population and posed new challenges to the prevention and control of the government . Pulsed-field gel electrophoresis can reveal the genetic correlation between pathogens in cases, suspicious foods and pollution links, and play a clear role in diagnosis and early warning. This article introduces the principle of the technology, the influencing factors, the result analysis and its application in the traceability of foodborne diseases.
