Background Traditional GP surveys have become a contributing factor to negative work. There are few researches on GP’s positive mental health and psychological resources. Purpose To summarize and summarize the GP’s positive mental health and personal psychological resources. Design and Location Cross-sectional survey of Northern Ireland GP. Methods A total of 400 GPs were randomly selected from publicly available GP registries to conduct a questionnaire survey that included the Warwick Edinburgh Mental Health Scale (WEMWBS) and information on resilience, optimism, self-efficacy, expectation, and socio-demographic information . Results The questionnaire recovery rate was 55% (221/400). In contrast, the UK veterinarian scored 48.8 points (SD = 9) and the UK teachers scored 47.2 points (SD = 9) and Northern Ireland (SD = 9), with an average score of 50.2 on the WEMWBS (SD = Nationals scored 50.8 points (SD = 9). The mean GP WEMWBS score was higher in women than in men [95% CI (0.02, 4.70), P = 0.05] after adjusting for mixing factors, GP WEMWBS 55 years and older was higher than GP 4.0 in 44 years and below [ 95% CI (0.8, 7.3), P = 0.02]. Female GP was more optimistic than male GP 1.1 unit [95% CI (0.1,2.0)], GP of 55 years old and above was higher than GP 1.56 unit [95% CI (0.2, 2.9)] of 44 years and younger. GP expectations for patients 55 years and older were higher than those for GPs 45- 54 years [95% CI (0.4, 5.7)]. Expectation scores best reflect the correlation between WEMWBS mean scores and psychological resources (r = 0.65, P <0.001). Conclusion The positive mental health of GPs is comparable to that of local residents and superior to other occupations such as veterinarians and teachers. Men and young GPs benefit more from mental health interventions.
