(一)去年三月学校党支部就反复认真地研究了如何建立学生的生产劳动基地,以更好地贯彻党的教育方针,并且深入长沙市手工业各个金属合作社参观,最后,决定选择制造螺丝钉作为初中二、三年级学生的生产劳动项目。因为这种生产包括煅、冲压、车、绞丝等四种不同工序,内容多样,操作又比较简单,适合初中学生年龄、体力的特点,又与数、理教学联系比较密切。我们这一打算,得到市委重视和支持,5月间市委手工业部即指定市手工业第一机械厂把制造螺丝钉的标准件车间全部迁入我校,厂校订立协作合同,组织学生轮流到车间参加生产劳动。截至目前,已有初中二三年级10个班共527人到车间劳动,培养出煅工97人,车工146人,冲压工95人,手摇和电力绞丝工175人,钳工15人。他们的技能大多已超过徒工,部分学生日产量还超过师傅。如董佩如在冲压组负责烧铁,能很好地掌握火候,没出一个废品,是历来烧铁工序中很少见的事。师傅评定她的技术说,再学一年就能超过七级烧铁工。(二)学生参加车间劳动,并不等于已经贯彻了教育与劳动结合的方针。通过劳动可以丰富知识、提高觉悟,但决不能停留在自发的状态中,而是应该有意识地加以引导、组织,把劳动的过程同时作为一个完整的教育过程。开始我们对方针体会不够,以为劳动基地的问题既经解决,学生参加劳动便没有什么问题
