语言接触、词汇空缺和语言威望导致了词语借用。英语通过完全借词、混合借词、转移借词和翻译借词方式从源语借用词语;汉语通过音译词、意译词、混合借词、借形词和字母借词的方式借入词语。比较发现英汉借词的方式在名称上虽有差异,但实质上具有高度的相似性。
Language contact, vocabulary vacancy and language prestige led to word borrowing. English borrows words from the source language through complete borrowing, mixed borrowing, transfer of borrowed words and translation of borrowed words; Chinese borrows words through transliteration, free translation, mixed borrowing, borrowing of forms and letter borrowing. The differences in the names of English and Chinese borrowing words are found, but in fact, they are highly similar.
