Minmetals Resources announced that wholly-owned subsidiary EMIKO intends to sell a 70% stake in the Mutoshi copper / cobalt project in Kolwezi, the Congo, for a total consideration of USD52,500,000 to Gécamines, which will be awarded to the Group by Gécamines pursuant to the lease agreement 8 tenements exploration and mining rights to pay. The group said the motion is still pending by the board of directors and Gécamines will have to pay $ 52,500,000 in cash by January 3 next year if the lease agreement is negatived. The Group stated that the Lease Agreement will permit the Group to explore and exploit a maximum of 1.8 million tonnes of copper metal at the tenement and its overall terms are in line with the Kinsevere Mining Lease Agreement,
