整整一个月,妈妈都在给娜斯佳讲述帆船夏令营的好处:河流,木筏,还有许多小伙伴。娜斯佳对此深信不疑,甚至开始在头脑中构想自己将要住的房间、将要结识的新朋友和将要相处许久的少先队辅导员是什么样子。即便如此,刚在营地安顿好两个小时,娜斯佳就开始想妈妈了。她躺在松树下的长椅上,低声啜泣。几名辅导员闻声赶来。可他们越是柔声劝解,娜斯佳哭得越厉害。辅导员们最后决定让她一个人静静,他们对此早就习以为常:

Nastya was convinced and even started thinking in her mind about the room she was going to live in, what new friends she was about to meet, and the Young Pioneers counselors who would have to live along.
