当今,我们处在信息化时代,其时代特征是以现代科学为基础的高技术,高技术的核心是计算机,通过计算机,测绘生产(产品)的核心是数字化,以GIS为中心,建立数字化测绘生产、科研、教育综合技术体系是当前测绘产业即地理信息产业的发展方向。“3S”集成和“5S”结合是当今测绘高技术的发展方向。高技术的发展将从整体上推动测绘产业结构发生革命性变革,其变革的大趋势是不以人们的意志为转移的。
