Objective: To investigate the effect of nursing intervention on medication adherence in hypertensive patients. Methods: The clinical data of 90 hypertensive patients admitted from May 2011 to May 2015 in our hospital were retrospectively analyzed. The patients were randomly divided into control group and observation group. The control group received routine nursing. The observation group was based on the control group Nursing interventions were performed to compare adherence and blood pressure in both groups. Results: The patients in the observation group took medication on time, diet, alcohol and tobacco abstinence, proper exercise, blood pressure monitoring were significantly higher than the control group, the difference was significant (p & lt; 0.05). Systolic blood pressure and diastolic blood pressure in the observation group were significantly lower than those in the control group, the difference was significant (p & lt; 0.05). CONCLUSION: Nursing intervention has changed patients' bad lifestyles, promoted active low-salt diet, quit smoking, limited alcohol consumption, moderate exercise, emotional adjustment, mental relaxation, improved medication compliance and blood pressure control in hypertensive patients.
