The first meeting of “Instruments Manufacturing” First Editorial Board was held in Beidaihe from June 11 to August 13, 1983. Lv Jingxin, deputy director of Technical Intelligence Office of Instrumentation & Instruments Industry Bureau of Machinery Industry Department, attended the meeting and made a speech. At the meeting, the editorial board members learned about the documents on running science and technology journals at the symposium on scientific and technological intelligence held by the Ministry and Bureau; and listened to the report of the editorial department’s summary of work in 1982 and the recent report on principles and topics selection plan. The meeting reviewed the guidelines and policies for the compilation of “instrument manufacturing” publications, the nature and tasks of the publications, the recent reports, etc.
