On August 1, 2013, the State Council issued the Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Energy-saving and Environmental Protection Industry (hereinafter referred to as “Opinions”). The promulgation of the Opinions will play an important role in guiding and promoting the accelerated development of the energy saving and environmental protection industries. The “Opinions” put forward the following main objectives: Firstly, the technological level of the industry was significantly improved; secondly, the domestic equipment and products basically met the market demand; and third, the radiation-driven effect was brought into full play. In order to speed up the development of energy-saving and environmental protection industries, the state will adopt a series of measures to strengthen restraint incentives and create a sound market for the development of energy-saving and environmental protection industries.
