British courier company Hermes conducted a survey of 2,000 customers in 2013, and more than two-thirds of them received packages that they thought were overpacked, with one-third of respondents saying they would not be over again with over-packaged retailers shopping. Customer forums on the Amazon site in the UK even have a forum on over-packaging where consumers can comment on over-parcel wrapping. Over-packaging not only involves environmental protection and waste of resources, but also related to the logistics company’s operating costs.
