王先明,南开大学特聘教授,历史学院博士生导师,中国社会史研究中心研究员。中国义和团研究会会长、中国史学会理事、中国社会史学会常务理事。国务院学科评议组专家,全国哲学社会科学基金学科评议组专家。先后获人事部、国家教委颁发的“全国优秀教师奖章”、教育部“第三届高校青年奖”以及教育部社会科学优秀成果二等奖等。王先明教授主要从事中国近代社会史、文化史专业教学与研究。近年来主要从事中国近代乡村史研究。在《中国社会科学》(英文版)、
