Objective To investigate the changes of systemic oxidative stress in patients with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and its relationship with glucocorticoid receptor. Methods The plasma levels of MDA, GSH and SOD in 40 COPD patients with acute exacerbation (group A), 30 patients with stable COPD (group B) and 15 healthy smokers (group C) Glucocorticoid receptor levels. Results ① In group A, group B and group C, the plasma MDA content showed a decreasing trend; ② the content of plasma GSH and SOD increased; ② the level of GR in peripheral blood mononuclear cells showed an increasing trend; The correlation coefficients were 0.593, -0.561 and 0.663 respectively, P <0.05. Conclusion ① There is an imbalance of oxidation / antioxidation in patients with COPD, especially in patients with acute exacerbation. ② The increased oxidative stress in patients with COPD is one of the reasons leading to the decline of glucocorticoid receptor in peripheral blood mononuclear cells.
