When I was just working as a teacher, I signed a one-year teaching contract at Milford Middle School in Connecticut to take over the task of teaching a visiting trainer as a temporary substitute teacher. With the passage of time, one year’s teaching is coming to an end and I am very worried about finding suitable teaching work in the future. Although only one year’s book was taught in this school, I teach these students to be studious and get along well with me. Towards the end of the period, the students asked me one after another whether their former teacher would be coming back soon. I tell them quietly, the teacher must return to school after the first semester. When answering the questions from my students, I tried my best to restrain my emotions without any expression on my face. However, I must admit that I was very depressed and uneasy in my heart because I was about to leave.
