在迄今人们所研发的各种柔性材质中,自主型液态金属所表现出的变形能力、运转速度与寿命水平等均首屈一指,这为其平添了诸多重要用途。就在近日,中国科学家制造出了世界首台液态金属机器。该研究团队首次发现了一种异常独特的现象和机制,即液态金属可在吞食少量物质后,以可变形机器的形态实现长时间高速运动,以及无需外部电力供给的自主运动,这为研制实用化智能马达、血管机器人、流体泵送系统乃至更为复杂的液态金属机器人奠定了理论和技术基础。许多外国科学家表示:“液态金属机器人几乎已在眼前,并且它们由中国制造。”
