The educational unions in institutions of higher education are mass organizations under the leadership of the party committee and are the bridges and ties between the party and the majority of faculty and staff. The main task now is to organize the vast number of faculty and staff members to thoroughly study Deng Xiaoping’s educational theory, promote education reform, improve the quality of teachers and strengthen the self-construction of trade unions
