Preface This document was prepared at the meeting of TC131 / SC7 / WG2, held in Stockholm from 3 to 4 October 1979, establishing the link between implementation of SC7№75 and TC131 / SC3 / WG1. It has been submitted to SC7 and SC3 / WG1 for consideration as a proposed amendment to ISO 5597. However, SC7 members are cautioned that some of WG2’s prominent experts have argued that these additional dimensions are not necessary because ISO 6020 / II seals are available in ISO 5597 sizes to meet the requirements. Mr. Beldon Rich has asked SC3 / WG1 members to provide technical data at the next SC7 meeting to support ISO 5597’s inability to meet their particular needs. As agreed by TC131 / SC7 and TC131 / SC3 / WG1 in Paris, the supplementary draft will be submitted to the Central Secretariat in the form of an amendment proposed by ISO 5597 on behalf of ISO member countries (together with the proposal to add a size of 500 mm in Table 2 of ISO 5597 ) To vote.
