The project was conducted in March 1996 in Taiping Post Village Office of Mogu Township, Luliang County, Yunnan Province, and a total of 265 married men were surveyed. The results showed that the husband’s education level was significantly higher than that of his wife in the family. Most of the men had the same fertility and policy (having two children) and 95% of the men were satisfied or satisfied with the current family planning work. However, about 85% of husbands do not have any household duties at home, and most husbands do not know whether their wife is suffering from gynecological diseases. Only 3.39% of men took contraception, almost all did not participate in any form of reproductive health education and almost half did not know the concept of STD. Their need for reproductive health is primarily to provide quality reproductive health services, especially smart technology. Accordingly, the main recommendations are to improve the awareness of male participation among policymakers, develop an incentive policy conducive to male participation, strengthen male health education and provide them with reproductive health knowledge and appropriate technologies.
