从计算机硬件、软件及网络结构入手，论述了ＤＣＳ与上位机之间的连接及通信，详细说明了先进图形实时监测系统的建设思想，以实例讲解了微机工作站上图形监测的实现，生产现场的实时数据库及历史数据库的形成，以及与实时监测系统相关连的管理信息系统的建设。讨论了在不同硬件软件环境、不同网络环境下，利用不同开发工具建设图形实时监测系统的方法。
Starting with the computer hardware, software and network structure, the connection and communication between DCS and PC are discussed. The construction idea of advanced graphic real-time monitoring system is described in detail. The realization of the graphic monitoring on the computer workstation is explained by examples. The formation of real-time databases and historical databases, as well as the construction of management information systems associated with real-time monitoring systems. Discussed in different hardware and software environments, different network environments, the use of different development tools to build graphical real-time monitoring system.
