各种作物原始材料种子,是劳动人民在生产斗争中创造的宝贵財富,是培育新品种的物质基础。因此,贮藏好原始材料,对搞好科学研究和发展生产关系极大。我們一九六五年开始试用“干燥密封方法贮藏谷子原始材料效果很好二千一百个材料采用这种方法贮藏,经过六年之久,于一九七二年一月抽取十一个样品测定,发芽力平均仍达99.5％,发芽势93％;而沿用纸袋贮藏的平均发芽力仅25.8％,发芽势只23.8％。
