在传统的美术教学中,教师示范往往是通过手绘,这种示范存在图像小、速度慢、教师背对幼儿易挡住幼儿视线等缺点。应用计算机演示能较好地解决以上问题,图像大而清晰,色彩鲜艳,教师能直接与幼儿进行面对面沟通、交流,并及时掌握幼儿反馈的信息。幼儿看得清楚,听得仔细。如果幼儿有疑问,计算机还可以再次演示,强化示范步骤。传统的示范讲解一般需要10～15分钟,而运用多媒体辅助教学手段,时间可以缩短到5分钟左右(包括演示动画),这便使孩子有了更多的练习时间。
