在联合国教科文组织关于开展“每日学习一小时”和“联合国成人学习周”等活动的倡议下,教育部职业教育与成人教育司、中国教科文组织全国委员会秘书处和中国成人教育协会于2005年联合发起了我国的全民终身学习活动周。目前,全民终身学习活动周已成功举办8届,参与城市从最初的10个,扩大到2012年的530多个。这一活动已成为我国推动全民终身学习的重要载体,推进终身教育体系和学习型社会建设的一大品牌,
Under the auspices of UNESCO on activities such as one hour per day for study and United Nations Adult Learning Week, the Department of Vocational Education and Adult Education of the Ministry of Education, the Secretariat of China’s National Commission for UNESCO and China The Association for Adult Education co-sponsored the National Week for Lifelong Learning in China in 2005. At present, the Lifelong Learning Week has been successfully held for eight sessions and the number of participating cities has expanded from the initial 10 to more than 530 in 2012.
