古老的长沙灯笼街,南起今天的苏家巷,北接解放西路,与东茅街、育婴街相通。过去,在这条长不过两百米、宽仅八米的街道上,家家悬灯亮彩,以经营灯笼为业。后来,生意人用“灯笼”谐音“登隆”二字冠以街名,故灯笼街又名登隆街。
The ancient Changsha Lantern Street, south from today’s Su Lane, Jiefang West Road, north, and Dong Mao Jie, Yuk Street connected.
