农业是国民经济的基础,这是我们的共识,而在农业领域的理论和应用研究,则是基础之基础。我国是一个农业大国,在我省,粮食的自给现仍存在着矛盾,而象美国这样发达的国家,1/10的农业人口就能养活9/10的人口,而且还卓卓有余,这有很多原因,而其中农业的现代化、优良的品种、减少病虫害的侵蚀等都是其中原因之一。优良的品种、减少病虫害的侵蚀都有赖于基础理论的研究,本文所要介绍的就是在这领域中辛勤工作的彭新湘博士。
