陕西省体育馆是一个可容纳8000观众的大型体育馆,全馆建筑面积为16800m~2,屋顶标高29.93m,施工时地面标高-1.5m。屋盖为66×90m 八角船形正交正放钢管球节点的网架结构,网架上、下弦之间的轴线距离为4.9m,基本网格6×6m。南北方向是中间高两端低,中间起拱1.435m;东西方向是中间低两端向上翘,整个网架的下弦节点的最高点和最低点的相对高差达2.865m。整个网架划分为175榀长12m 的平面桁架式块体。东西方向块体重1.3t,共86榀;南北方向约3.8t,共89榀。其它还有支撑、檩条等构件。网架总重约342t,
