1 According to the report, the highest cost-of-living in the UK has hurt young people. According to the report, the inflation rate in Britain was faster than market expectations in June. The CPI increased by 1.6% year-on-year. In the meantime, a study of household income shows that the financial crisis has done particularly serious damage to young people in Britain. Sluggish salary growth has long plagued the UK’s economic recovery, and while all other indicators point to an improving economy, there has been no sign of a rise in pay growth. The study shows that between 2007-2008 and 2012-2013, the inflation-adjusted median real income of households between the ages of 22 and 30 has dropped by 13%.
