省政府表彰安全生产先进单位为了进一步贯彻“安全第一,预防为主”的方针,强化安全生产管理,遏制重、特大事故的发生,确保人民生命和国家财产的安全,促进我省经济建设的健康发展和社会稳定,1997年省政府与各地、市、州、直管市、林区人民政府以及省直七个行业主管部门签订了安全生产责任状。一年来,各地各部门按照责任状的要求,加大了安全生产责任制的落实力度,有力地推动了我省安全生产。今年初省政府组织有关部门,对全省安全生产目标管理情况进行了考核评比。根据考评结果,省政府决定,对考评优秀的武汉、黄石、襄樊、孝感、鄂州、荆门、仙桃、潜江等8个市和消防、水上交通、民航、铁路、城建等5个行业主管部门给予通报表彰。(据鄂政发[1998]13号)
