莫言是中国第一位诺贝尔文学奖获得者,是中国当代文坛上东方魔幻现实主义的杰出代表。莫言深得拉美魔幻现实主义精髓,从继承和模仿拉美魔幻文学到后来自成一家的创作,其作品已经成为文坛一道独特的风景。长篇力作《生死疲劳》是“魔幻语言”运用极致的范本,它留给读者深刻印象的不是狂欢恣肆的情节,而是那种流畅奔放、幻影憧憧的语言和激情澎湃的感情倾诉。莫言魔幻语言实验的重要贡献之一是运用摹绘修辞策略,并注重突出摹绘的主观性一面,以此来表现自己沸腾的情感与躁动不安的内心世界。在《生死疲劳》中,莫言一方面利用摹声偏离和摹声隐喻制造充满神秘、诡异、朦胧、空灵的氛围,另一方面利用奔突异样的色彩书写,构造了一个魔幻的意象世界;修辞是一种复杂的话语优化过程,如果从单一的摹绘格方面来解读这部小说未必能切中肯綮,必须结合更复杂的修辞手段——隐喻、象征,并将之放置在魔幻现实主义的语境中加以理解,变异的声、色词语成了宣泄作者现实情感的象征性符号,使读者感受到其弦外之音,色外之色。
Mo Yan is China’s first winner of the Nobel Prize in literature and is an outstanding representative of the Oriental magical realism in the contemporary Chinese literary world.
