Polysporole crystal inclusion bodies produced by Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) have a toxic effect on the larvae ingesting it. This article reports the cloning, expression and toxicity testing of Bt med 94 ng crystal protein gene. The gene pool of Btmed CIB 163-131 strain was constructed using Lamda Zap II / EcoRI / CIAP and the positive clones were screened using mouse antiserum against 94 kDa crystal protein.
