Arthur Miller (1915--) is a Jewish American playwright and is the most famous contemporary realist playwright in the United States. He called for the dramatist to write a tragedy with the characteristics of the times. He himself also created a series of works with rich ideological content and distinctive artistic features, becoming one of the most famous tragedy writers in the contemporary Western theater industry.
