2009年是3G竞争元年,由于移动互联网主导着未来互联网的发展趋势,因此,三大运营商均向移动数据业务发力,促使非短信数据业务在短时间内得到飞速发展。2009年,中国移动、中国联通的移动业务运营收入同比增长均接近10%,非短信数据业务也快速增长,其中中国移动手机上网收入较上一个年度增长41.3%,中国联通手机上网收入出现191.6%的巨幅增长。中国电信在接手原中国联通CDMA业务的同时,也承接了大部分原掌中宽带业务的用户,此项业务用户虽然不多,但中国电信移动用户的无线上网收入占移动运营收入比最高,达20%,而中国联通和中国移动的无线上网收入占移动运营收入比均为4%左右,这个高数据收入占比的特征决定了电信将大力发展手机上网业务。
