水华,姓张,原籍湖北,1916年生于南京。17岁时考入上海复旦大学法学院,但却以主要精力参加左翼戏剧活动。1938年抗日战争爆发后到武汉,加入抗敌演剧队;后到重庆,在陶行知创办的育才学校任戏剧教员。1940年到延安,任鲁迅艺术学院实验剧团导演。曾导演《带枪的人》、《神手》、《滨海渔民》、《周子山》等话剧。1949年调入东北电影制片厂,开始电影创作。水华以创作作风细致严谨著称。他编导的影片不多,但质量均堪称上乘,如五十年代的《白毛女》、《林家铺子》,六十年代的《革命家庭》、《烈火中永生》,八
Bloom, surnamed Zhang, origin Hubei, born in 1916 in Nanjing. At the age of 17 admitted to Shanghai Fudan University Law School, but with the main energy to participate in left-wing drama activities.
