2006年10月14日,一位92岁高龄的矍铄老人出席了首届普通外科医学青年基金颁奖大会,他此行的目的,是为获此殊荣的首位青年学者,南京军区总医院外科专家朱维铭授奖的。老人姓裘,名法祖,这个青年基金是以他的名字命名的,是由他捐出的一生所得奖励积蓄140多万元所设的。其人老矣,然行医六十余载,心仍牵系提携后生,在颁奖会上的发言中,老人悦然言道:“看到年轻人超过我,很欣慰。”
