毛白杨、河北杨是我国北方诸省生长快、分布广、适应强的优良速生树种。在我省东部温暖的川水、河谷阶地和沟叉地带生长良好,一般8年成椽,15—20年生成檩,是四旁绿化、营造用材林、农田防护林的好树种。由于用种子繁殖困难,扦插成活率较低,远远不能满足生产上的需要。我们于1978年开始,借鉴果树嫁接方法,选用青杨、新疆杨、北京杨和马氏杨作砧木,芽接毛白杨、河北杨,提高了繁育技术,培养了小批量优质种苗,获得初步成功,已用于生产,受到了群众的好评。我们的做法是:
