(一) 1974年以来,我们把选育适宜广东亚热带生态条件早熟稳产的小麦新品种作为主攻方向,相应地确定了早熟、抗病、耐湿、稳产丰产的综合性育种目标。根据育种目标,利用1974年引入鉴定的国际玉米小麦改良中心抗锈材料“M-87”作母本,与福建省耐湿性强的材料“B-5白”作父本进行杂交,按系谱法经南北异地选育,于1982年育成早熟、抗病小麦新品种“粤六”。“粤六”是产量水平为每亩300—500斤的稳产型品种。1979年冬参加本所品种比较试验,平均亩产416.67斤。1980年参加华南3省(区)和省内区试,产量320斤。1980年夏季在黑龙江省合江实验农场干旱地区种植5.3亩,平均亩产500斤(当地小麦产量为350斤
