曾在1993年参加文化部举办的“中国京剧希望之星”推荐演出,又于1994年获梅花奖的上海京剧院青年演员史敏是个既能演繁重的武旦戏、又能胜任正宗梅派青衣戏的优秀演员。但舆论在赞赏她出色的艺术表现时,对其艺术成长过程却缺乏足够的关注,尤其不少媒介论及她良好的嗓音条件,都习惯地将其归功于天赋。其实,史敏若干年前的嗓音状况与现在比有着天壤之别,是经过相当长时间,付出相当大的代价,运用了科学的发声法训练后,才使她的嗓音状况以及整体艺术品位有了一个出乎人们想象的飞跃。回顾她的成长过程,尤其是总结其科学发声训练中的教学思想和方法、经验和教训,对戏曲声乐教研工作的发展是十分有益的。
