为了控制与治理环境大气和水质污染对人体健康的直接危害和潜在危害,首先需要对环境中极痕量的污染物予以监测。近年来发展了带有光电离检测器(PID)超灵敏的便携式气相色谱仪,这类仪器能对大气或水质中痕量的毒物作极灵敏的分析,如对硫化氢、苯等化合物的检测范围可以在0.1ppb到100ppm。仪器的高灵敏度和宽线性范围的特性深受广大环保工作者的欢迎。这类气相色谱仪的工作原理见图1
