西藏自治区第二届“希望杯”青少年足球赛于2001年8月18日至22日在拉萨举行,共有7支球队角逐“希望杯”。 为了认真贯彻执行《全民健身计划纲要》,落实《学校体育工作条例》,进一步普及和提高我区青少年足球技战术水平,培养足球后备人才,推动学校体育工作的全面开展,自治区体育局研究决定举办本届“希望杯”青少年足球赛。 参加这次比赛的7支青少年足球队分别是拉萨市队、拉萨中学队、林芝队、昌都队、日喀则队、林芝地区中学队、拉萨北京中学队。比赛采取单循环赛制,7支球队总共进行21场角逐。记者从组委会获悉,自18日开赛以后,每天在市体育场进行三场比赛,26日的闭幕式上还安排西藏青年队和本届赛事的明星联队(或者本届冠军队)进行一场表演赛。
