列宁把辩证法叫做“马克思主义的灵魂。”(见罗森塔尔、尤金编的《简明哲学辞典》)谁都知道,毛主席的所有著作、讲话以至平常的谈话,无不渗透着辩证法这个马克思主义的精髓。他从理论与实践的结合上,继承和发展了马克思列宁主义的唯物辩证法。他一贯地倡导要尊重唯物论、尊重辩证法,辩证法应该在中国得到最充分的发展。也就是说,辩证法应该在中国最广大的工人、农民、知识分子和干部中得到最广泛、最深刻的应用和发展。
