本文将中国商业自产生之时至当代的 2 80 0多年间 ,分为五个阶段 ,依次考察它的兴衰与国家兴衰的关系 ,发现商业发展水平上升时期 ,国家经济实力上升 ,中国经济实力在世界各国中所处的地位上升 ;商业发展水平下降时期 ,国家经济实力下降 ,中国经济实力在世界各国中所处的地位下降。商业兴衰路径与国家兴衰路径成平行状 ;商业兴衰先于国家兴衰。商兴带来国兴、商衰带来国衰历史现象中 ,蕴含着丰富的经济工作经验教训与众多的需要经济学与历史学去解释的问题
