The first meeting of the All-Soviet Radiation Chemistry Conference was held in Moscow from March 25 to April 2 this year. The meeting was jointly convened by the Soviet Academy of Sciences and the Soviet Union’s Ministry of Chemical Industry to review the work carried out in the field of radiation chemistry in the Soviet Union over the past few years. The author attended the meeting. A total of 55 papers were read out, of which 22 were from the Karpov Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Ministry of Chemical Industry and 16 were from the Institute of Physical Chemistry of the Soviet Academy of Sciences.
