报刊上时有中学生感到非常棘手的“a~a~a 型”(a>0,下同)问题,由于在式子a~a~a中,同一字母a出现三次,分别扮演着不同的角色,所以这类问题概念性较强。事实上,解这类问题时,只要抓住了运算顺序这个关键,也不难解决。若令a~a=N,则a~a~a=a~N(注意不是N~a)。因此,解“a~a~a型”问题时,应先计算N=a~a,再进行a~N的计算,稍不留意就很可能出现a~a~a=(a~a)~a的错误。所以计算时要特别细心。下面举几例说明它的解法。
